Sunday July 14th from 4pm – 10pm.
Back by popular demand, we are going to be hosting a Community Barbecue and get together on July 14th. On the Hinge – Summer Village Festival will include a mini-olympics, barbecue, and movie night – Cool Runnings (to keep with the Olympic theme of our neighbourhood!). We are working on all of the details now, but wanted to let everyone know to mark Sunday, July 14th in your calendars!
Schedule:
4:00 pm – Mini Olympics – fun for adults and kids! Participate in Olympic-themed events, like Yoga Mat Bobsled and Water Balloon Shot Put!
6:00 pm – BBQ – free burgers and bratwurst – bring your own plate & cutlery so we can work towards a zero waste event!
Dusk – Free Outdoor Movie “Cool Runnings” – bring your own blanket or chair

Hi Chris, I am new to the Village, can you tell me which park is The Hinge??? Also, I’m not using facebook, so will updates be emailed as well?

Hinge Park is the large grassy area just west of the village next to Columbia Street. I’m not running the event, but I would recommend just showing up on Sunday.
