The garden has been growing splendidly. Be sure to check out the occasional “free markets” in the lobby, where gardeners will be giving away extra produce to residents. Notices to be posted around the building. Last week there was plenty of kale, lettuce, cucumbers, herbs, and carrots. Next time, there should be tomatoes.
The rooftop gardeners had a potluck meeting last weekend. Items discussed included potato bugs, watering, and fertilizing, what to do with abandoned jungle plots, and our favourite kale recipes.
